No. Our slogan is No Fees Ever, and we mean it. It is completely free to sell at BidSplash.com and, if you are the buyer of an item, you only have to pay the seller for the item and any shipping amount or insurance they may require or give you the option to purchase. That's it.
A proxy bid is the maximum amount you are prepared to bid on an item. If someone else has set a proxy bid that is higher than yours, you will be notified that you have been outbid on an item. If there is a reserve price on an auction and your proxy bid is lower than the reserve price, your bid will be set at the maximum amount you set in your proxy bid if you are the highest bidder. Once the reserve price is met, your bid will only be the minimum bid increment beyond the highest bid if you are the highest bidder.
No. Once a bid is placed on an auction, if the time remaining is more than seven (7) days, the time left in the auction automatically becomes seven (7) days. The longer auction durations are there to limit the amount of times a seller has to relist an item if it doesn't sell.
If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true. Beware sellers who want you to send them money through Western Union or want you to mail them cash. If you see an auction item listed that looks suspicious, please report that to us using the "Report this Auction" link available near the top of every listing. We recommend paying for items using PayPal or some other reputable source. If the item is a local pickup item and you want to pay the seller cash, that is usually fine if you are meeting the seller face to face. Always be careful when meeting people you don't know. We recommend meeting in a public place where you feel comfortable.
